The Gunas Explained

The teaching of the Three Gunas is fundamental to learning yoga. Yet it is also profound in its application and implication to our lives. The gunas describe the content of our hearts, minds, bodies, words, actions, choices, food, living space, livelihood, community and more.

It takes a master to transmit such an all-encompassing concept in such an inspiring, applicable, accessible way as this. In this rare video series (this is part 1 of 7), is such a master.

About the Teacher: David Frawley (or Vāmadeva Śāstrī) is an American Hindu author, publishing on topics such as Hinduism, Yoga and Ayurveda. He is the founder and director of the American Institute for Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which offers courses on Yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, and Hindu astrology. He is also a professor of Vedic Astrology and Ayurveda at the Hindu University of America at Orlando, Florida. He is a Vaidya (Ayurvedic doctor), and a Jyotishi (astrologer).
